How to connect a custom domain to your website

Point your own domain name to your Fotiqo website. Follow the DNS setup instructions to go live with your custom URL.

Steps

Go to Website > Settings > Domain in your dashboard.
Enter your custom domain name such as www.yourphotography.com.
Copy the CNAME record value provided by Fotiqo.
Log in to your domain registrar (GoDaddy, Namecheap, Cloudflare, etc.).
Add a CNAME record pointing your domain to the Fotiqo value.
Wait for DNS propagation which can take up to 24 hours.
Return to Fotiqo and click Verify Domain to confirm the connection.
Your website will now be accessible at your custom domain with a free SSL certificate.

💡 Tip: If you want to use a root domain without www, set up a redirect from the root to www at your registrar.

Q: How long does DNS propagation take?

Most DNS changes propagate within 1 to 4 hours, though it can take up to 24 hours in rare cases.

Yes, Fotiqo automatically provisions a free SSL certificate for your custom domain.

Q: Can I use a subdomain like photos.mydomain.com?

Yes, subdomains work the same way. Just add the CNAME record for the subdomain.
