Running the Fotiqo Academy for new photographers

Academy is Fotiqo's onboarding + training platform for new photographer hires. Structured modules, progress tracking, and compliance.

What the Academy covers

Five module types are available out of the box:

- ONBOARDING — platform tour, kiosk flow, handover procedures. - SALES_TRAINING — approach hooks, the sales-coach playbook, upsell scripts. - PHOTOGRAPHY_TECHNIQUE — venue-specific lighting, posing, and guest-handling. - SOFTWARE_TRAINING — using the kiosk POS, iPad app, and Lightroom integration. - COMPLIANCE — GDPR, release forms, age-gate rules.

Assigning training

Go to **Admin > Academy**.
Open the module you want to assign.
Set **isRequired** to true if it blocks kiosk access until completed.
The new hire sees it in their **/academy** tab on login.

Tracking progress

Go to Admin > Academy > Progress to see every staff member's completion percent, their quiz scores, and any overdue required modules. Supervisors can flag photographers who aren't certified yet.

Creating custom modules

Click **New Module** in Admin > Academy.
Choose the module type and set the sort order.
Add a content URL (YouTube, Vimeo, or a Fotiqo-hosted video).
Mark isRequired if it's a compliance module.

FAQ

Q: Can photographers skip modules?

They can skip non-required modules. Required modules (usually compliance + onboarding) block the kiosk login until done.

Q: Do quiz scores factor into the leaderboard?

Not directly, but low quiz scores surface in the AI Insights dashboard as a coaching flag.
