Client Gallery

A client gallery is an online gallery a photographer shares with a client to view, download, and buy their photos. Modern client galleries also handle proofing, favouriting, print sales, and — increasingly — AI culling and search.

What a client gallery is for

Three jobs: delivery (clients view and download their photos), proofing (clients favourite or select shots), and sales (clients buy prints, products, or extra images). It replaces sending files over email or a generic file-sharing link.

What to look for

Mobile-friendly viewing, secure private access, download controls, print/product sales, and a clean luxury feel. The newer differentiators are AI: automatic culling before delivery and natural-language search inside the gallery.

Free vs paid

Free tiers exist but usually cap storage, branding, or sales features. Paid platforms add unlimited galleries, custom branding, and the automation that saves real time at volume.

Frequently asked questions

What's the difference between a client gallery and a file-sharing link?
A file-sharing link just transfers files. A client gallery adds private branded viewing, proofing/favourites, print and product sales, download controls, and analytics — it's a delivery and sales experience, not just a download.
What makes a modern client gallery different?
The AI layer. Older galleries are passive delivery; modern ones (like Fotiqo) cull the throwaways automatically before the client sees them and let clients search the gallery in plain language.
